Silver / green feather-like foliage produces flat heads of orange / red flowers fading to cream through the summer. Works well with grasses and other perennials, we’ve also included this in our ‘Dune Mix’ and in our ‘Pollinator’ selection.
We would consider this a vital ingredient of herbaceous borders, cottage country gardens or prairies, this Yarrow typically blooms in late spring to late summer and puts on a beautiful display of colour.
This perennial dies back to below ground level each year in autumn, then fresh new growth appears again in spring.
Size: 2 Litre potted plant
Position: full sun
Soil: well-drained, including dry soil
Rate of growth: average
Flowering period: Summer periods to September
Hardiness: fully hardy
Garden care: Cut down to the ground in late winter, but resist the urge to do this earlier, as the seed heads look lovely in the winter light. Pull out seedlings as they appear, as they rarely match the host plant. Lift and divide large clumps in late autumn or early spring.
